Biography

Marc Harris was born in Cardiff, Wales, in 1962.
Marc has previously written five books and a poetry pamphlet.
The natural world has always been a wonder to him, and the themes of nature and the environment always feature strongly in his books.
A huge fan of gothic ghost stories, one of his previous books of poetry and short stories is steeped in the gothic horror tradition.
His other books include South and West Wales: Its Wildlife, People and Places, and Cornish Time, both travel writing and nature-infused books; and Wild Tales & Rural Rides, a book of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry inspired by the environment.
He has also written a poetry book, Rhythms of Nature, and a poetry pamphlet Sentience 14 Poems.
In the past, Marc has written for magazines such as The Countryman, Explore England, This England, and The New Welsh Review.
A lover of cycling, he has cycled thousands of miles in his lifetime, often in pursuit of his fascination with nature and wild places.
He now lives with his two rescue cats in a house in Dinas Powys, the Vale of Glamorgan.
Marc regularly gives ghost story talks, and gives talks about travel writing, and the natural world, in places as diverse as Wales, and Cornwall. He also includes poetry in many of these talks.
