Meleri Davies is a poet and writer living and working in Dyffryn Ogwen. She has published her work in a number of journals and publications and her first collection of poetry – ‘Rhuo ei distawrwydd hi’ was published by Cyhoeddiadau’r Stamp in November 2024. The collection subsequently won the Wales Book of the Year 2025 award for poetry and it has been reprinted 4 times in 9 months. Meleri is a community activist and developer and for 10 years she led the social enterprise Partneriaeth Ogwen in Dyffryn Ogwen. During this time she led on developing a community hydro scheme and other regeneration projects including the development of a Welsh book shop and small cultural festivals in Bethesda. She is passionate about communities, sustainability and creativity. She is now a freelance community development consultant and a creative practitioner. This work involves project managment and planning support and leading creative writing workshops.
