Hilary Watson grew up in South Wales. She graduated from the University of Warwick’s Writing Programme with a BA and MA in Writing. She was a Jerwood/Arvon mentee. Her poetry has been published widely in magazines across the UK and internationally and she has been highly commended and shortlisted in the Troubadour Prize, the Verve Poetry Prize and Live Cannon International Poetry Prize. She is an editor at the thrutopian writing magazine Bending the Arc. She lives in Cardiff with her girlfriend and lurcher, Lola.
