I am originally from London where I was brought up in a house full of books and grew up with a passion for reading and writing. I now live in rural Wales which is an ideal setting to write and to be inspired.
In 2024, I gave up a 35 year career in the Public Sector in order to concentrate fully on completing and publishing my debut novel, ‘Dreading The Dark’. This novel is based on real people and events. taking the reader on a journey from the East End of London to a Blackpool boarding house where a hotch-potch of characters are thrown together because of the war. The book explores how a young woman’s wartime experiences shaped the character traits of her daughter and the relationship between them.
I am currently developing two further fiction projects and I write in several genres, including mystery and historical. I am also a playwright and my radio and stage plays have been performed both by professional and amateur companies across South Wales. I enjoy the whole writing journey and love the artistic freedom of writing. I am an active member of two local writing groups which help me critically analyse and hone my writing skills.
