I’m Irram from Cardiff. I’ve been writing since I was a teenager and finally realised my dream as a published writer in 2023. I learned Welsh as an adult and have been a regular columnist for the Welsh online magazine Lingo360 since 2023, my articles ranging from history, health and even stories. I am a regular story contributor to Cip, the Urdd magazine for children. I also write articles for English-language publications such as Bylines Cymru and Welsh Histories. I published two bilingual books (English/Welsh) in 2024 – a collection of poetry “Welsh, Asian and Proud” and a collection of ghost short stories “It Comes To Us All”, stocked in independent book shops throughout Wales and distributed by the Books Council of Wales. In 2025, came a follow-up ghost story collection, “What Lies Beyond” and my first collection of children’s stories titled “Betsi, The Cool Cat and other stories”. Both the 2025 books are English-only. In 2026, I published my first non-fiction book called ‘Celebrating Welsh Heroines’. This came about from my articles in Lingo360 about amazing Welsh women over the centuries who should not be forgotten about. I have further non-fiction biographies due out in the next few years, before I will return to writing fiction, hopefully my first novel. I have made appearances on S4C and Radio Cymru, plus having the honour of reading my poetry at the National Eisteddfod in Pontypridd in 2025.
