Sarah Ziman was born and grew up in the South Wales valleys and currently lives in Hertfordshire. Her poetry for children has been published worldwide in magazines and journals for young people, as well as in anthologies in the UK and USA, and poems for an adult audience appear in a number of Candlestick Press collections. In 2021 she won the YorkMix Poems for Children Prize (having come third in 2019), and she has been highly commended for The Caterpillar Poetry Prize on three occasions.
Her first solo collection for children is being published in 2024, by Troika Books.
