Biography

Pete Evans was brought up on Anglesey and now lives in the border lands of North Wales. He completed a degree in Social and Cultural History and Creative Writing at Glyndwr University in 2023 and followed it with an M.A. in Creative Writing. He has written two books on rivers – Resurrection River on the Alun and The Holy Dee and gives entertaining talks about them. In 2025 he won the Cheshire Prize for Literature – Flash Fiction Category. He has been published in two anthologies of the work of Wrexham writers: Love Letters to Wrexham and, 1876 – Stories of a Vintage Year. He has also written a children’s story about Curlews.
