Pete Evans was brought up in Anglesey and now lives in the border lands of North Wales. He completed a degree in Social and Cultural History and Creative Writing at Glyndwr University in 2023 and followed it with an MA. He has written two books on rivers – Resurrection River on the Alun and The Holy Dee and gives entertaining talks about them. In July 2025 he won the Cheshire Prize for Literature – Flash Fiction Category. He utilises his love of storytelling to guide tourists around North Wales and Chester.
