Jamie Woods is a writer from Swansea. He has had poems published in Poetry Wales, Lucent Dreaming, Ink Sweat & Tears, short fiction in Evergreen Review and The Lonely Crowd, and was commended in the Hippocrates International Prize for Poetry and Medicine 2021.
In August 2019 Jamie was diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukaemia (APL) – a rare and dangerous form of blood cancer. He has been in remission since 2020, and tries to help other Leukaemia patients as an advocate, fundraiser, and now Poet-in-Residence of the charity Leukaemia Care UK.
