Biography

Casi Wyn was Bardd Plant Cymru 2021-2023. Casi is a familiar face in Wales and beyond as a singer and songwriter. Many of her songs are regularly played on radio stations across the UK. Casi is also one of the founders of Codi Pais, a magazine and independent publisher which platforms new and diverse voices. In 2021 she published two musical books for children, Tonnau Cariad and Dawns y Ceirw. Her short animation, Dawns y Ceirw was broadcast on S4C on Christmas Eve 2020.

Casi is looking forward to setting the imaginations of Wales’ children alight through words and music. Celebrating the diversity of Wales and building bridges to join our communities through the magic of poetry is her priority. The theme of nature and the natural world will also be a thread through her work during this time.

In addition to school visits, Casi’s activity programme will include a variety of national, international, and community projects, contributing to the Welsh Government’s Siarter Iaith, and composing several poems to note events and campaigns of interest to children and young people.
