Biography

Mark is the 2023 New Welsh Writing Awards winner for Invisibility and won the Somerset Maugham Award for Two kinds of silence. He tutors for the Royal Literary Fund and Awen Cultural Trust and can be booked for workshops, mentoring and MCing via the link above. Mark was a Hay Festival Writer at Work for two years and won a Wales Media Award in 2017 for his journalism. Fiction includes Doppelgangers and Conversations with Magic Stones. Poetry collections Loud music makes you drive faster with Parthian and The view from my shed with Dreich Chapbooks. Widely published in Agenda, The London Magazine, Poetry Wales, The Interpreter’s House, The Lonely Crowd, Wales Arts Review. He lives in Cardiff.
