Sarah Ward Clavier is an historian and writer. Her academic writing focuses on seventeenth-century history, including the British Civil Wars in Wales, Welsh identity, and politics. She has also written about the early history of newspapers and the media in Wales and England, and women’s work in the Post Office in the early modern period (1500-1700). Sarah has written narrative non-fiction on the history of correspondence, has spoken on BBC Radio 4 and Radio Wales, and has been an historical consultant for BBC 1’s ‘The Union’ series.
