YMCA Plasnewydd Centre

Frequency of Meetings
Day/Time of Meetings
£10 per annum, plus £3 per week for physical sessions and £12 per term for ZOOM access
We meet every Monday except for Summer and Christmas holidays and Easter week:
1. To foster the art of writing in all its forms
2. To give help and guidance to members, especially those writing for publication
3. To provide a friendly and welcoming common meeting ground for all persons who, either as critics or writers, are sympathetic to these aims.
We are currently running both online and in-person sessions with the first, third, and fifth (if appropriate) Mondays being via ZOOM, and the second and fourth being physical, at the YMCA.
Most meetings are ‘Open Manuscripts’ in which members read from and receive feedback on their writing. Cardiff Writers Circle also has its own semi-regular writing competitions open to members.
All are welcome but CWC cannot take responsibility for anyone aged under-16, and a responsible adult should be present with such person(s) at all times
Meetings are held through the medium of English, but we are open to include readings in Welsh where appropriate, and also to be included in our collections
All formats, styles and genres are welcome.
