Wales Book of the Year 2022: A Celebration

Three authors shortlisted for the English-language fiction category of the Wales Book of the Year 2022 award will appear at the London Welsh Centre on Monday 5th December at 7pm to read and discuss their work.

Cardiff BookTalk is a University Book group where guest speakers are invited to discuss classic and contemporary fiction, often books by Welsh authors. Following two years of mainly online events due to Covid, we have decided to launch a number of in-person author events and ‘Free Love: an audience with Tessa Hadley’ will be the first in this series.

Company of Words is teaming up with Sherman 5 for this in person literary Open Mic featuring guest the legendary Peter Finch, hosted by artist Alix Edwards. Suitable for over 15s. Share your poems, monologues, short scripts and prose in a warm, welcoming environment in the fabulous setting of the Sherman foyer.
