Writing Well is a 15-month development programme for literary facilitators. It is run in two parts:
Part 1:
The first three months offers opportunities to hone skills and knowledge and increase confidence in the field of literary facilitation. It includes:
A minimum of 4 one-to-one sessions with a mentor
Training sessions exploring the theory and management of running literature for health and well-being projects for a wide variety of participants in various settings
Specific training on budgets, capturing and communicating impact, safeguarding and more.
Opportunities to network, make new contacts and build relationships with other writers
Part 2:
Following the initial three-month training programme, and three months for project planning, the intention is to offer facilitators a pot of funding to deliver projects they have designed during the initial stages of the programme. You can see the projects supported in previous rounds on the Writing Well project page.
After the 15-month programme, Literature Wales will continue to work with the cohort and with other partners to make sure that they are able to receive the support and advice they need to reach their goals.
