Join internationally recognised Bee Gees authors Andrew Môn Hughes (Wales) and Grant Walters (USA) for the exclusive V.I.P. Reception and International Launch of DECADES: The Bee Gees in the 1980s.

The latest volume in the acclaimed DECADES series follows books covering the 1960s and 1970s and presents the most comprehensive exploration yet of the Bee Gees’ remarkable career during one of the most creative and misunderstood periods in their history. Drawing on years of meticulous research and previously untold stories, the book offers an authoritative account of the group’s music, achievements and enduring influence throughout the 1980s.

Hosted in Holyhead – the hometown of co-author Andrew Môn Hughes – the reception marks the beginning of a week-long UK launch tour, with events continuing in Manchester, Liverpool, Tewkesbury and Thame. The Manchester launch, held on Barry Gibb’s 80th birthday, gives the tour added significance as fans celebrate the milestone of the Bee Gees’ last surviving member.

Guests will enjoy an afternoon of conversation, reflections on the creation of the book, and the opportunity to meet the authors ahead of the public launch. Reflecting its Welsh setting, the reception will also include a short Welsh-language element.

This invitation-only event celebrates not only the publication of a major new work on the Bee Gees but also the enduring legacy of one of popular music’s most influential and successful groups.
