Newport and Gwent Literary Club are delighted to present this talk by Dr Eleanor Rosamund Barraclough who is Associate Professor in Mediaeval History and Literature at the University of Durham. She is a broadcaster and historian and writer and in 2013 became a BBC New Generation Thinker in a competition to develop a new generation of academics who can bring the best of academic research to a wider audience. She will take us through the wild, scary, wide travelling lives of the Vikings through the words of their sagas. This lecture is likely to be held via zoom but if possible it will be in person at our regular venue, The Holiday Inn at The Coldra in Newport. Check with us to find out which.
