Y Lab are exploring the best ways to involve people in the decisions that affect them and want to get your views on if and how you would like to be involved.

Numerous policies across Wales emphasise the importance of people being able to participate in local decision making and improving services but many organisations struggle with the best ways to routinely engage people in improving services and allocating funds.

Y Lab have been undertaking research to explore some of the most effective methods to involve people in decision making which can demonstrate real tangible results. We would like to share our findings and explore how you think these could affect public services in Wales.

Should the be participatory budgets across all councils? Would you take part in a citizens jury to influence policy? What type of topics do you think should be explored by the public? What are the risks of involving people in decision making?

These are the type of questions we want to explore, so if you have any views on this or just want to find out more about deliberative democracy then sign up and come along to the event.
