FREE EVENT to celebrate Aberystwyth’s UNESCO City of Literature status.

This is a joint venture between Siop Inc, Ystwyth Books, The Bookshop by the Sea, The Book Garden and Gayberystwyth Books

12.15 – Introduction by Mererid Hopwood Chair of the Aberystwyth City of Literature partnership 

12.30 – Alex Hubbard (debut novel ‘Storm’ set in Aberystwyth) Guest speaker for The Bookshop By the Sea

13.15 – Layla McCay, author of ‘The Queer Bookshelf’. Guest speaker for Gayberystwyth Books

14.00 –  Gruffudd ab Owain, author of ‘Yn ei Dro – Cymru’r Ddwy Olwyn’. Guest speaker for Siop Inc

14.45 – Carwyn Graves, bestselling author, public speaker and gardener from Wales. Guest speaker for The Book Garden

15.30 – Maithreyi Hughes and Rhys Hughes –

Maithreyi’s book ‘Skinny Dipping in Tiger Country’ will be released on 2nd July, and Rhys is an internationally renowned writer and poet who takes an experimental, absurdist/surrealist approach. Guests of Ystwyth Books
