Literature Wales offers a number of training opportunities for writers. These are sometimes offered as part of another project (for instance, writers who are awarded funding to deliver workshops through the Literature for Well-being Funding Scheme will attend a compulsory training day prior to delivery), or they are open training days.

Our open training days offer opportunities for writers living in Wales to hone and diversify their skills; develop and professionalise their practice; increase their tools for arts facilitation work; meet and network with other writers; and hear from industry experts.

Training days are bilingual unless otherwise stated, and are offered in north and south Wales. The training days are often co-delivered with specialist partners and will always include contributions by sector-leading practitioners and organisations both in Wales and beyond.  Future training dates will be added to this web-page and promoted via our social media accounts and newsletter.

If you’re interested in requesting specific areas in which you’d like to receive training, we would love to hear from you. Please note that we cannot guarantee that all requests will be met.
