Nia Morais is Bardd Plant Cymru 2023-2025. She is a writer and playwright from Cardiff who writes about identity, magic. horror, and survival. Nia is the Sherman Theatre’s writer in residence 2022, and was one of the first cohort of Literature Wales’ Representing Wales programme in 2021. She writes for both adults and children.
Cymru Ni | Our Wales Workshop Outline
The tagline for Nia workshops is: “when I’m most myself…”/ “pan fi’n teimlo fel fi…”. In this workshop, Nia will guide students through writing exercises about their heritage, passions, likes and dislikes, before ending on a poem-writing exercise about the acts that make them feel the most at home in themselves. This workshop will focus on self-expression and empowerment, and will give students a sense of pride in their identity.
