Yr Ods are instrument swapping musicians Griff Lynch, Gruff Pritchard, Rhys Aneurin and Osian Howells.

Iaith y Nefoedd (Language of Heaven) is a conceptual collaboration with author Llwyd Owen, with the album’s songs inspired by a short novel of the same name that reinterprets the familiar Welsh phrase, and sets it in an epic story about a dystopian hate-filled Wales.

Since forming in 2008, Yr Ods have established themselves as one of Wales’ finest bands, and one of the most popular Welsh language acts on the planet alongside contemporaries such as Gruff Rhys, Gwenno, H. Hawkline and Cate Le Bon. Yr Ods have previously released two critically acclaimed albums Troi a Throsi (2011) and Llithro (2013) both released via Sain. Live they have extensively toured the UK and Europe, performed at big festivals including Maes B, Swn, Green Man and No 6, as well as achieving the career high of headlining National Eisteddfod of Wales alongside a forty-piece orchestra, and an audience of two-thousand fans.

Yr Ods have re-grouped to create laith y Nefoedd, their third and undoubtedly most ambitious album to date.
