Company of Words is back with Cardiff Women’s Aid for another fun open mic evening. .This event for WOMEN, hosted by artist Alix Edwards and Leyla Helvaci is a chance to catch up with friends, share your work and hear the fabulous poetry of Elizabeth Parker. For attendees of SHOUT! events at Cardiff Women’s Centre, Art With Alix and Write-On with Alix. Open to all women.

About Elizabeth:
Elizabeth Parker was born in London and grew up in Pygmy Pinetum, a garden centre in The Forest of Dean. School trips to Ty Newydd writing centre inspired her to take up creative writing and she went on to achieve a First Class Honours in English and Creative Writing at Warwick University, and an MA in Mythology from Bristol University.
Elizabeth Parker’s poetry has been published in various journals including Magma, The Interpreter’s House and Agenda. She was a prizewinner in the 2016 Troubadour International Poetry Prize. Following her 2016 pamphlet, Antinopolis, published by Eyewear. Elizabeth’s first full collection, In Her Shambles, was published by Seren in April 2018. and she is currently writing 2 novels based on her experiences of teaching Shakespeare to teenagers!
