Anirban Mukhopadhyay is an artist from Cardiff. A Fiction Writer, Actor, Playwright, Director and Tabla Percussionist. He also works as a qualified Solicitor of England and Wales and as an accountant. Anirban believes that storytelling can bring people together and help remove social isolation; this is why he has been actively working with local communities for the past 9 years through different forms of storytelling, e.g. community creative writing, theatre and literature groups. As a result, Anirban has been able to write and direct plays in Bengali and English which have been staged in the UK and India.

As part of the Literature Wales Platforming Under-represented Writers Scheme, Anirban will be running a series of workshops on character traits and interpersonal relationships depicted in Mahabharata, the Indian Epic. There will be 10 workshops that will run on weekends. This is an apolitical and non-religious project where people from all walks of life are welcome to take part.

If you would like to attend, please contact Anirban to book your place. The remaining seven dates of the project will be announced in January 2020.
