Gather Round is Monmouth’s new Festival of Stories — three extraordinary days of storytelling, myth, history, music, and performance.

From 2–4 October, some of the UK’s finest storytellers come together across Monmouth’s theatres, gardens, historic buildings, library and pubs.
Headlining the event will be acclaimed mythologist, storyteller and New York Times Bestseller Dr Martin Shaw, who promises to engage the audience on Saturday evening in the Savoy Theatre, Monmouth. Friday night sees Nigerian storyteller Alim Kamara tell stories under the stars, bring a blanket, a picnic and friends! Throughout Saturday and, discover goddess stories with Sally Pomme Clayton and stories of the River and Water with Corinne Harragin.

Come and explore Monmouth’s history with story walks, enjoy FREE family storytelling, crafts and performances (sponsored by Menter Iaith Mynwy & ACE Monmouth).
