Cosy Christmas: Writing Romance with Beth Reekles, Chloe Ford and Jack Strange
If you’re looking for the ultimate festive book event, then we’ve got the perfect winter warmer for you! We are thrilled to be hosting our first Christmas Romance event at the Glamorganshire Golf Club – an evening of cosy stories, sizzling romance, and seasonal cheer with the delightful trio of Beth Reekles, Chloe Ford and Jack Strange.
💌 It Won’t Be Christmas Without You by Beth Reekles – From the bestselling author of The Kissing Booth comes her debut adult fiction: the story of twin sisters with very different lives – one a Christmas obsessive, the other a workaholic – who must face festive chaos, grumpy neighbours, and plenty of snow to rediscover what the holiday really means.
🎆 House Party by Chloe Ford – A sizzling, slow-burn romance set over New Year’s Eve. When Hattie finds herself stuck in a snowed-in cabin with her best friend’s older brother – the one she’s secretly loved for fifteen years – sparks fly in a story full of longing, laughter, and heart-stopping chemistry.
📚 Look Up, Handsome by Jack Strange – A charming, queer romcom set in Hay-on-Wye, where Quinn is fighting to save his beloved bookshop just as brooding novelist Noah Sage blows into town. With snow, forced proximity, small-town gossip and a dash of holiday magic, this is the cosy Christmas romance you’ve been waiting for.
So pull out the sequins and let’s get Christmas party season started in style!

BETH REEKLES shot to fame as a teenager with her YA novel The Kissing Booth, which went on to become one of Netflix’s most-watched original films worldwide. Named in Time Magazine’s “Top 16 Most Influential Teenagers” and The Times’ “Top 25 under 20,” Beth now makes her adult fiction debut with It Won’t Be Christmas Without You.
CHLOE FORD grew up in rural Sussex but is now based in South Gloucestershire. She has an affinity with all things country, from riding horses to muddy walks. Her love for writing began in secondary school when her English teacher would set a writing task for the whole hour. An avid reader, she started sneaking Mills & Boon books out from under her mum’s bed as a teenager and hasn’t stopped devouring romance books ever since. House Party is her second rom-com.
JACK STRANGE is a Welsh writer who pens romantic comedies with gay male leads, as well as dystopian dark academia under the name J. S. Strange. Born in South Wales, he moved to Vancouver, Canada at 27 before returning home. When he isn’t writing, he can usually be found scrolling through Instagram and TikTok, reading tarot cards online or at festivals, or opening Pokémon cards on camera.
