Belinda Mady Sharland enjoys painting a movie with words, often taking you on a deep dive via dialogue digging into her personal experience and real-life situations all while crafting a transformative story underpinned by psychology principles.
Belinda writes alpha female protagonists (even if they haven’t realized it yet!). She is happiest when she’s throwing her characters into tension-filled situations carefully crafted for growth and personal development. She’s the champion of empowerment and meaningful dialogue.
Belinda’s writing brings subtle psychological changes to the reader’s experience, providing an in-depth understanding of the character’s actions and feelings along with a detailed psychological approach to character growth that remains with the reader. It’s hard to describe Belinda’s writing as just romance, there’s always another aspect, and it’s usually violent!
Belinda has a BA Joint Hons in English & Media from Cardiff Metropolitan University. She is also trained in nutrition, and business and runs Sharland Creative Limited and Oceanid Geek Gaming.
When Belinda is not working she’s cooking, enjoying the Welsh countryside/beaches, and usually playing with new ideas for a new venture, to empower others! Belinda is a huge supporter of diversity in publishing whether in video game publishing or the written word. Not that far from her Coventry roots she now enjoys life from her flat in Swansea, South West Wales.
