Participants learn how to make their characters 'jump off the page’ and make readers care and want to read more. We spend timeon character and structure because this helps us focus on what is really important in the story and the possibilities for how it will unfold. The principles cover plot, character, suspense, dialogue, structure, imagery, pacing, and so om]n, and work whether you are doing oral storytelling, writing screenplays, novels, graphic novels, short stories or stage and radio plays. We discuss marketing work, and the media industries. Participants bring their own work for constructive feedback in a safe, supportive environment.
