O Ysbaid i Ysbaid is an original Welsh-language multimedia show from new and existing members of Cywion Cranogwen, Beth Celyn, Manon Awst and Sara Borda Green. By combining visual art, music and poetry, their voices intertwine to examine various perspectives in times of war and peace. These points of views are rooted in the perspectives of women from Wales – from the mothers and wives left at home to the activists who filled the void left by the First World War with their movement for peace and equality. The examination extends to Patagonia, Argentina, where Sara Borda green – the collective’s most recent recruit – was born and raised.

The poems (written in the Welsh language) can be downloaded and read below.

Cywion Cranogwen is a pick ’n mix of poets, singers and artist who take their poetic tours across Wales. Their journey began at the Anglesey National Eisteddfod in August 2017 with their show, ‘Corddi’ (churn), before going on to perform in towns and villages such as Denbigh, Caernarfon and Llangrannog. They have performed at events and festivals such as Gŵyl Arall, the cultural festival “I’r Môr” and performed their second original show, ‘Llifo’ (to flow) at the Literature Pavilion in the Cardiff National Eisteddfod in 2018. ‘O Ysbaid i Ysbaid’ is their third show.
