Cardiff Writers’ Circle (CWC) is pleased to announce the launch, sponsored by Mark Drakeford AM, First Minister for Wales, of Write on Cardiff, its first collection of stories and poems from and about Cardiff.

CWC was established in May 1947.  It is therefore surprising that it has taken until now to get around to publishing a collection of current members’ works; as there are several former (and a few current) members who are published writers, and competition winners abound amongst the number. Meetings are safe spaces for members at all stages of development to test out their work.

Believed to be the longest continually running group of its kind in the UK, CWC is seventy-two years old and meets at the YMCA on Shakespeare Street, every Monday evening, except for holidays, from 7-9. CWC holds five annual writing competitions and supports Llamau and Papyrus charities.
