Unity: Spoken Word; Music Event
Following the success of last year’s Unity event we are hosting the next Unity Event on 8 November.
Unity is a collaboration with Llanelli Unites celebrating and bringing together our diverse communities for a spoken word and music event.
In 2025 we had the National Poet for Wales, Hanan Issa and music from Parisa Fouladi, and PSU’s Charlie on keyboard.
So far confirmed for 8 November Unity Event:
Parisa Fouladi, who is a Welsh Iranian artist from Cardiff.
She fuses neo-soul, hip-hop and jazz with an emotive and distinctive voice, drawing inspiration from artists such as Sault, Cleo Sol and Erykah Badu.
Her music explores her mixed cultural heritage and the delicate questions around self-scrutiny in an imbalanced society.
Listen to stories from Cameroonian writer, poet, playwright and human rights activist Eric Ngalle Charles.
Unity is a free event and everyone is welcome.
Let’s come together as a community to welcome each other’s cultures, languages and stories.
