The Children’s Laureate Wales visits children and young people across the length and breadth of Wales, and Connor loves holding poetry workshops both inside and outside the classroom.
Connor offers Children’s Laureate Wales workshops and visits on a freelance basis from January 2023 onwards. Schools, libraries, clubs and more can request a visit by filling in the form below, then all details will be discussed directly with Connor.
Fees:
Children’s Laureate Wales activities incur a fee. This can vary from around £100+. The fee is dependent on the length and content of the session, and whether it happens face-to-face or online.
Financial Support:
You can apply for up to 50% of the writer’s fee through our Inspiring Communities Funding Scheme. Applications should be sent three months before the activity is to take place. There is a monthly deadline for applications. Find out more about this scheme here.
What happens next:
Your application will be sent on to Connor, who will contact you directly to discuss the nature of the activity, to organise a date, and to agree a fee.
Please note: We receive a high number of requests for visits, therefore we can’t guarantee that your application will be successful. However, we are passionate about sharing the joy of words with young people, and would be happy to discuss other options with you.
