Santes Dwynwen Sale: 15% off Tŷ Newydd Courses

Published Fri 25 Jan 2019 - By Literature Wales

To celebrate Santes Dwynwen Day, for three days only, Literature Wales will offer a 15% discount on Tŷ Newydd courses in 2019.* This special offer will be valid from 9.00 am on Friday morning 25 January until 12.00 am midnight on Sunday 27 January 2019.

Dwynwen is the Welsh patron saint of lovers. Her tale is strange and mysterious: Dwynwen falls in love with a young man named Maelon, but her father forbids the marriage. An angel provides her with a potion, which Maelon drinks and turns into ice. Dwynwen then prays for three requests: that Maelon be released; that, through her, God look after all true lovers; and that she remain unmarried. She then retreats to the solitude of Ynys Llanddwyn off the west coast of Anglesey and remains there until her death.

To claim your discount, use the code Dwynwen15 at checkout when booking online, or quote the code when booking over the phone. You can browse all 2019 courses on the Tŷ Newydd website.
