Libraries Week challenge for the children of Wales

Children’s Laureate Wales Eloise Williams has challenged the children of Wales to share their love of libraries to celebrate Libraries Week 2019 (7-12 October).

The challenge is to finish the sentence ‘I love libraries because…’ and share on social media. Videos, pictures, animations, poems and letters will all be welcomed too.

Eloise will choose her favourite post on 12 October and they will receive a book pack from Firefly Press and special Children’s Laureate Wales notebooks for the whole class.

Eloise said:

When I was seven, I sat in a comfy scarlet chair in my library and set off into Narnia. My library gave me imagination, bravery and magic. I wouldn’t be an author without libraries. I’m very excited to hear about what libraries mean to the children of Wales!
