B. John Shaw Liddle is a graduate of UWIC (now Cardiff Metropolitan University). He is a fantasy writer and his work uses metaphorical landscapes and archetypal characters, big old plot-lines and a splash of dark humour. The authors that most inspire him are those he read when growing up - Anne McCaffrey, Ursula K LeGuin, and Alan Dean Foster and is interested in magical realism.
He also enjoys cooking especially with spice and exotic flavours. He plans one day to write a cookery book - more specifically a fantasy cookery book, or a fantasy book about a cook. Visit his website to find out more.
