Gordon TriggsGordon was born in the Sandfields, a working class district of Swansea, a few years before the outbreak of World War II. Following a narrow escape during the bombing in 1940, he became a high achiever at school where he won the school prize in his final year.

Gordon apprenticed as a mechanic before serving in the Royal Navy and spent time in Africa, India and Malaya. Upon returning to civilian life he qualified as a Chartered Engineer. Following several roles in Industry Management Gordon joined the Board of Directors of various high profile companies, including Sony for whom in 1973 he set up and ran a television manufacturing plant in Bridgend South Wales.

Having travelled widely with business to Japan, Russia, America, South Africa, the Middle East and more besides, Gordon gained an understanding of different and sometimes unusual cultures and its peoples which has informed his writing. He now spends considerable time working on his stories. Gordon is currently working on a fictional historical novel set in the tenth century, a tale of complex business and political deals as well as greed and the pursuit of power over the then known world. Further books, which again draw on Gordon’s travels are currently under consideration.

With respect to Two Years Before the What?  (Author House, 2008)

‘…The book is definitely hard to put down as you follow the exciting and sometimes scary experiences along the author’s journey to the Far East. Well written and easy to read I would recommend this book to anyone.’
