Ian is a true crime writer and regular contributor to major newspapers and magazines worldwide. He was born in Rhymney and is a reformed criminal, ex-prisoner and campaigner for prison reform. Ian published his first true crime book in 1971 under a pseudonym and has since gone on to write many others under other nom de plumes. For more than two decades, Ian has ghost-written about most of the notorious killers the UK has ever encountered and has enjoyed best-seller success. As part of his research, he has developed strong relationships with a number of retired high ranking policemen and reformed ex-criminals.
