MEDHURST, JAMIE

Jamie MedhurstJamie studied for a BA in History at Aberystwyth University, followed by a MA in Information Studies. He is now Director of Learning and Teaching and Senior Lecturer in Film and Television Studies at Aberystwyth University. Jamie oversees all aspects of undergraduate and postgraduate learning and teaching in the Theatre Film & Television Studies department. His research interests include broadcasting history (especially early television and the BBC, 1923-39 and ITV in the 1950s and 1960s); media history and historiography.
 
Jamie is a member of the European Television History Network and has reviewed papers for Contemporary Wales, Critical Studies in Television, Media History and Twentieth Century British History together with book proposals for Routledge, Sage Publications and Palgrave-Macmillan. He is extensively published in both monographs and journals, including Tu ChwithTwentieth Century British History, Media History, Welsh History Review and Llafur: Journal of Welsh Labour History
