JONES, BRENDA
Brenda was born in Oswestry to Welsh-speaking parents and lived in Llanfyllin until she was six. The family then moved to Efailrhyd, Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, and Brenda attended Llanfyllin High School, followed by Wrexham Technical College. She married a Welsh dairy farmer and still lives on the same farm in Cefn Canol, near Llansilin. She has two grown-up children and has been writing poetry for the past twenty years. Her recent publication, A Welsh Woman's View (Shrewsbury Books, 2009), is her first collection. All profits from the sale of this collection will be donated to the Alzheimer's Society.
