HANCOCK, THELMA

Thelma was born in Carlisle and now lives in North Wales. She has always been interested in history, and has recently engaged this passion in creative writing. The past as well as the present has always enthralled her, particularly the interweaving of both together. She has always wanted to share more of her love of history, and especially the quiet corner of her heart that still lives in Hadrian's country.

Marrying a sailor meant a nomadic lifestyle; something she still embraces. Her occupation has ranged from teaching in Derbyshire, to steam-engine fireman in Wales, to nursing gunshot wounds in New Zealand.
