COYLE, MARTIN
Professor Martin Coyle is Chair of English Literature at Cardiff University. His research interests include textual editing and the textual histories of Shakespeare’s plays, as well as the other aspects of Shakespeare including film. He teaches postgraduate courses on Violent Death in Renaissance and Constructing Shakespeare, both concerned with the production of cultural meanings and the transitions between periods of literary history. Martin is General Editor of Palgrave Macmillan’s New Casebooks Series and the Critical Issues Series. He is also currently working on books on Richard II and Hamlet, having recently completed, with John Peck, A Brief History of English Literature.
