Alan was born in Shoeburyness Essex and lived there until he was 32. He then moved to South Wales where he works full time as a foster carer. He writes to escape the upsets that are associated with fostering. Alan is married with three children of his own and a full time foster child who is autistic.

Then a time came when the humans became greedy and refused to share their world. The Catchers were forced to live in seclusion and have fallen into the realm of myth, no one knowing if they even exist.

One night, Kerstan Wolphsan has a perculiar dream in which a wizard and his companions are calling upon him for help. When his people doubt his premonitions, Kerstan decides to visit the Source, a mysterious energy force that was created by the Catchers to help keep the city’s inhabitants safe. He soon discovers that dark forces seek to destroy the Sources magic and, once again, the city is in desperate need of the Catchers help, but it has already begun-the city is under attack by a wicked creature that wreaks revenge, destroying everything that stands in its path. After seeking reinforcements Kerstan embarks on a dangerous quest to find the Catchers and ultimately restore the balance between god and evil.
