JANKULAK, KAREN

Karen JankulakA Canadian, Karen has a doctorate from the Centre for Medieval Studies, University of Toronto. She spent three years as a post-doctoral research scholar at the School of Celtic Studies, Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies. Karen is now a Lecturer in Religious History at the Department of Theology and Religious Studies, University of Wales Lampeter, where she is Director of the MA in Arthurian Studies. She is particularly interested in medieval ecclesiastical history of Celtic regions, in particular Cornwall and Brittany; the cults of saints and hagiography in Celtic regions; medieval bardic praise poetry of Wales and Ireland; Domesday Cornwall; and antiquarian views of the Middle Ages.
