QUINNELL, SCOTT
Scott Quinnell was born in Swansea and has played rugy union for Llanelli RFC, Llanelli Scarlets, Richmond, the Lions, and Wales. Quinell switched to rugby league in 1994, joining Wigan and playing for the Welsh league squad. He returned to union in 1996 and was part of the Welsh team that reached the World Cup quarter-finals in 1999. He captained Wales seven times during his career, and retired at the end of the 2004/5 season. He now coaches the Llanelli RFC Welsh Premier Division team and has written a book on how he became a successful rugby player, in spite of having to fight against learning difficulties at school.Selected Publications:
