Matt was born in Usk, Monmouthshire in 1962. His haiku and senryu have appeared in magazines, books and newspapers around the world. Matt became the Associate Editor for John Barlow’s Snapshots magazine in 2000 and was the winner of The Independent’s 2002 haiku competition. He lives in West Wales with his family, works as a local government officer, and enjoys cycling and canoeing. Most days, he tries to find wabi-sabi moments in the world around him. When he does, they appear on his blogspot.
