Children’s writer and storyteller, Paul is a junior school teacher in Bettws. His first two published stories were both partly set in Gwent, the first of which Rewind (Pont Books, 2006), was short–listed for the Glen–Dimplex award for new writers. Paul lives with his wife and three daughters in Rhiwderin Village near Newport. He credits experiences in the classroom with providing inspiration for his stories. His recent title Dear Mr Author (Pont Books, 2009) won the 2010 Tir na n-Og prize for best English-language book. Paul is a Member of Academi.
