Jem Poster

Jem Poster lives in Radnorshire. He was Professor and Director of Creative Writing at the Department of English, Aberystwyth University, and is now Emeritus Professor. He was formerly Chair of the editorial board of New Welsh Review, and has won first prize in both the Cardiff International Poetry Competition and the Peterloo Poets Open Poetry Competition, as well as one of the Arts Council’s Writing Awards. In 2014 he was writer in residence at Arizona State University. He is currently Programme Advisor and tutor on Cambridge University’s MSt in Creative Writing, Director of Cambridge University’s Summer School in Creative Writing and Director of Academic Programmes for the Oxford Literary Festival.
