Adrian MourbyAdrian Mourby is an international correspondent and opera producer. For twelve years he wrote and produced BBC drama, winning numerous national and international awards. Amongst other series, he produced Sir Kingsley Amis’ Old Devils before becoming a fulltime writer, producer and broadcaster.

Adrian has had four books published, written and presented various series on Radio 4, presented interval talks on Radio 3, acted as international and architectural correspondent for Opera Now magazine, lectured for Martin Randall Travel and Travel for the Arts and won the Sony Silver Award for Creative Writing on Radio.

A committed traveller, he spends much time abroad, lecturing or learning. In 2006 he taught creative writing in Italy and has just returned from Tanzania, where he followed the Great Migration for The Independent on Sunday. He returned to Africa in January 2007 and then travelled to India for a tiger (photographic) safari.

Following the success of Oxford Millennium Opera’s Marriage of Figaro Adrian is looking into the possibility of staging Mozart in the Serengeti.
