Tony Lewis-Jones was born in Wales, and educated at Clifton and Oxford. His poetry has appeared in magazines and anthologies all over the world, and has been broadcast on radio and television. He has held a number of poetry-related posts including Co-ordinator of Poems on the Bus and Poetry in the Parks, Poet-In-Residence at BBC Radio Bristol and Poet-In-Residence at The Bristol Evening Post. His Anytime: Collected Poems (Poetry Monthly Press, 2006) was released internationally under the title Any Time and Other Poems by BeWrite Books.
Tony has been working extensively with the Japanese short forms of late, and one of his haiku was published at the prestigious Mainichi Haiku website out of Tokyo, Japan in October 2009. He was listed in the Mainichi Haiku 'Best Haiku of 2009' (for further information please go to google.co.uk and enter 'Mainichi Haiku in English'): his October 2009 haiku was described as "a delicate masterpiece".
Tony is currently concentrating on producing e-books, and his latest, Significant Others, has been archived by the National Poetry Library in London and the National Library of Scotland in Edinburgh.
