Storyteller. Born in Cardiff, educated at Exeter and Durham universities. Teacher of English and drama in secondary schools in London (1985–90); teacher of English to speakers of other languages (1990–1993); teacher at Cardiff Steiner Early Years Centre (1998-present). Cath works with an awareness of the therapeutic value of stories, knowing that "to be human in this world of ours means having to accept difficult challenges, but also encountering wonderful adventures" [Bruno Bettelheim, The Uses of Enchantment]. Cath has told stories in schools throughout Cardiff as well in the National History Museum, St Fagans and the National Museum. She has performed at Beyond the Border International Storytelling Festival and The Festival at the Edge [2005].
