Born in Barry, Glamorgan, Barry joined the BBC in the sixties as a script–writer and Script Editor, working on Z Cars, Dr Finlay’s Case Book, Onedin Line, District Nurse. He created the drama series Wings, and is writing two novels based on this series. Barry has also worked as Story Editor on Eastenders.
